Shift Gears

Mental panoramic of a .. once upon
Held illusion of a .. should have been
Faded hologram of that .. oasis mirage

It's vexing how we often want to hold on to everything that we never had yet throw away once in hand.

Still waiting for the .. what's to come
To distracted by the .. what almost was
Knowing full well what I .. should have done

You see, our past is existing proof that every decision we make changes our whole future path and event. What many never learn to do is reflect, and then move on rather than repeating or standing still. Full aware that the next step .. every step effects what ground we have before us after that.

Even when presented with a mirror image of what didn't come, we must still move on... knowing what never was.
Sometimes... we have to give up a dream... to live out the next. Or remain there in the remnants forever.

" and it was said that the legacy was short lived, that his destiny had found it's ends as all surveyed faded away. The mossy castle walls crumbled into dust and rubble leaving only the shields and swords of the gate guards half buried and a single thrown open to the elements. His place to set and ponder eternity, staring out into nothing whilst the dust settled and collected within the aging creases of his face.

A traveler once claimed that if one approached him and looked into the gaze what could be seen a view of what once was in the emotionless stare and described it as the "land of the endless midnight star". A place just at the edge of reality illuminated without an apparent source yet cold and dark. And claimed to see it recurring within his own dreams and nightmares, another world so real yet non existent . "

Imrove perfection ??

Humm.. my horoscope for tomorrow is telling me to "improve your look".

I guess it time to take my monthly swim in the pond and then wash cloths, underwear are getting a tad stiff anyhow.. maybe I should finally get around to sewing the holes up in my socks too. Spring won't be long from now, maybe I should shave off the face insulation, trim my toe nails before they grow threw my boot tips. Carve a new wooden tooth... lesse.. what else

Valentine Grinch

a chuckle for the day

Daddy's little girl

Little Melissa comes home from first grade and tells her father
that they learned about the history of Valentine's Day. "Since
Valentine's Day is for a Christian saint and we're Jewish," she
asks, "will God get mad at me for giving someone a valentine?
Melissa's father thinks a bit, then says "No, I don't think God
would get mad. Who do you want to give a valentine to?"

"Osama Bin Laden," she says

"Why Osama Bin Laden," her father asks in shock
"Well," she says, "I thought that if a little American Jewish
girl could have enough love to give Osama a valentine, he might
start to think that maybe we're not all bad, and maybe start loving people
a little bit.

And if other kids saw what I did and sent valentines to Osama,
he'd love everyone a lot. And then! he'd start going all over the
place to tell everyone how much he loved them and how he didn't hate
anyone anymore."

Her father's heart swells and he looks at his daughter with
newfound pride.

"Melissa, that's the most wonderful thing I've ever heard."

"I know," Melissa says, "and once that gets him out in the open,
the Marines could blow the crap out of him."

ok..so... who's taking me out for McDonalds and a six pack and then meaningless sex in the back seat tonight ?
I'll even bring the breath mints and condoms.

Into the light

The One Great Mystery

What happens after we die
The question has been wondered about and theorized about possibly since the beginning of cognitive time.

Reincarnation, move on to another level or plane, go to a heaven or hell, reborn/transported to the mother planet, end up a ghost or spirit... nothing at all.
or?

I figured it out tonight. You can thank me by the way, you can quit wondering now. Being a man of scientific thought it comes to me that the one tangible report we do have is from people who have been dead for a short time then brought back to life on a hospital table. Quite a few seem to recall seeing a light, walking into a light, being drawn into the light, floating into a light, being guided into the light.

Well, as I sit here observing my own surroundings and activity in it... it came to me.

We die then become a moth, we just don't realize that while trying to 'go into the light'... were actually bouncing off a litebulb in someones house or at there back porch burning the fuck out of ourselves and never having a clue......yea... into the light.

I'm am now so relieved that very few people use candles as lighting now.
I wonder how many little winged souls I've snuffed out when out camping ...yanno.. that fire.

Now also can you imagine
"Hey Ray... Betty just called and told me that John was shot tonight while standing in line at the 7-11 by some drugged out armed robber"

Oh..well hell Frank... kick on the bug zapper.. lets finish that poor bastard off !!

into the light...into the light
